1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing or using Ciripi ("the Service") at ciripi.com, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service ("Terms"). If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

Ciripi reserves the right to modify these Terms at any time. We will notify users of material changes. Continued use after notification constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old to use Ciripi. By creating an account you confirm that you meet this requirement. Users under 18 should have parental consent.

3. Your account

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials.
You must not share your account with others or allow others to access it.
You must notify us immediately at support@ciripi.com if you suspect unauthorised access.
One account per person. Creating multiple accounts to evade bans is prohibited.

4. User-generated content

4.1 Ownership

You retain ownership of all content you post on Ciripi. By posting, you grant Ciripi a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to store, display, reproduce, and distribute your content solely for the purpose of operating the Service.

4.2 Responsibility

You are solely responsible for the content you post. Ciripi is not liable for user-generated content but reserves the right to remove any content that violates these Terms.

4.3 Prohibited content

You must not post content that:

Is illegal, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, or defamatory
Infringes any intellectual property right of another party
Contains child sexual abuse material (CSAM) — violations are reported to law enforcement
Promotes violence, terrorism, or hate speech against any group
Is spam, unsolicited advertising, or deliberate misinformation
Contains malware, viruses, or other harmful code
Violates any applicable law or regulation
Doxxes (shares private information about) another person without consent
Contains profanity, offensive slurs, or sexually explicit language in a context visible to the general community

4.4 Automated content filtering

Ciripi operates an automated profanity and bad-language filter that applies to all user-generated text including posts, comments, blog content, event descriptions, group names, and chat messages. By using the Service you acknowledge and agree that:

Content that triggers the filter will be blocked at submission and will not be published until the offending language is removed or rephrased.
The filter is automated and may occasionally flag legitimate words in certain languages or contexts. If you believe a block was in error you may contact support@ciripi.com.
Attempts to circumvent the filter — including deliberate misspellings, character substitution (e.g. "@" for "a"), spaces inserted into words, or use of foreign-language equivalents — are a violation of these Terms and may result in account suspension.
Repeated triggering of the filter within a short time window may result in a temporary posting restriction on your account.
The list of filtered terms is maintained by Ciripi and updated without prior notice. We do not publish the full list.

5. Conduct and community rules

Treat other users with respect. Harassment and targeted abuse will result in account suspension.
Do not use profanity, slurs, or aggressive language when interacting with other users in comments, posts, or event chats.
Do not impersonate any person or entity.
Do not manipulate votes through bots, scripts, or coordinated inauthentic behaviour.
Do not scrape or crawl the Service without prior written permission.
Do not attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Service.

6. Intellectual property

All non-user-generated content on Ciripi — including the interface, branding, design, and code — is owned by Ciripi and protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without our express written permission.

7. Location features

Location features are entirely voluntary. By enabling location-based filtering you consent to storing a geographic coordinate on our servers solely to filter content. This coordinate is never shared with other users. You can remove your location at any time in Settings.

7a. Events

When you create or participate in an event:

Your username and RSVP status (Participating / Maybe) are visible to other participants of that event.
As event organiser you are responsible for the accuracy of event details (date, location, description).
Event chat messages are subject to the same content rules as posts (see Section 4).
Ciripi is not liable for any harm arising from real-world meetups organised through the platform.

7b. Notifications and follows

By using Ciripi you consent to receiving in-app notifications for activity related to your content and account (likes, comments, mentions, follows, event updates, group decisions). You can manage notification preferences in Settings. Following another user does not grant access to their private information — it only surfaces their public posts and blogs in your feed.

7c. Reporting content

You may report any post, blog, or event that you believe violates these Terms. Reports are reviewed by our moderation team. Filing a false or malicious report against another user may result in action being taken against your account. We do not disclose the identity of reporters to the reported user.

8. Moderation and enforcement

Ciripi may, at its sole discretion and without notice:

Remove any content that violates these Terms
Suspend or permanently ban accounts for repeated or severe violations
Report illegal content to relevant law enforcement authorities

If your content is removed and you believe this was in error, contact support@ciripi.com with a description of the content and the reason you believe it should be reinstated.

9. Disclaimer of warranties

Ciripi is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We do not guarantee that the Service will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components. Your use is at your own risk.

10. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Ciripi and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service, even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages. Our total liability to you shall not exceed €100.

11. Termination

You may delete your account at any time in Settings → Account → Delete Account. We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice, for any breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases and your data will be deleted per our Privacy Policy.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the European Union and Romania. Any disputes shall be resolved in the courts of Romania, unless otherwise required by mandatory consumer protection laws in your country of residence.
